List Article- 3 Places to Visit Before You Die

Whether it be from the media or word of mouth, we are constantly being encouraged to visit various attractions and popular places. But with limited time and the unfortunate increasing cost of travel, we need to pick and choose. This list compiles 3 of the most popular tourist attractions and favourite ‘bucket list’ must- sees.

1)   The Grand Canyon- Visible from space, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA was formed by the Colorado river over millions of years. Now 277 miles long and sitting within it’s own National Park, the canyon attracts approximately 5 millions tourists every year.

2) The Ancient Egyptian Pyramids- Built originally as tombs, the pyramids of Ancient Egypt are one of the worlds main tourist attractions.  There are 138 currently known pyramids in Egypt, but the most famous are those in Giza on the outskirts of Cairo. The pyramid of Khufu at Giza remains one of the seven wonders of the world.

      3) The Great Wall of China- standing at over 13,000 miles long, the Great Wall of China was built to protect the North of China from attack. Construction began in 6BC and continued right up into the 16th century
